I do wonder if there are some people in local councils who lack imagination when it comes to approving the plans for new housing developments.

I understand now more houses are crammed onto the acres of land that becomes available, (green or otherwise!) the roads that serve (!) these properties are so narrow and twisting and often have cars parked on opposite sides due to lack of garages or parking space on the houses' forecourts, not only fire engines cannot pass in an emergency without smashing into the cars but the council's own rubbish lorries are unable to enter the estates to empty the bins!

This may now create a similar situation to that in Birmingham and other cities not caused by the unions but by the councils themselves! Sounds like a load of rubbish doesn't it, and it may soon become just that!
