Norwich Cocktail Week is just around the corner and this year they are looking for the Best Amaeteur Mixologist.
Last year Gonzo’s held a competition for the city’s bartenders to prove their worth, but this year they are trying something new, asking the big questions - do you know your Mojito from Margarita? Are you old fashioned or a little bit cosmopolitan?
Norwich Cocktail Week is calling all local cocktail connoisseurs to enter their first Amateur Cocktail Competition.
The aim? To find the city’s Best Amateur Mixologist.
The competition is being sponsored by Bullards Spirits, the creators of the award winning Norwich Gin. Entrants must get creative, making their own original cocktail using Bullards Norwich Dry Gin or their Strawberry and Black Pepper Gin.
Three finalists will be invited to Bonds in Norwich on Friday October 6 to make their cocktails in a real bar for a panel of esteemed judges.
The winner will receive a prize including bottles of Norwich Gin and a distillery and tasting tour. All finalists will receive a pair of Norwich Cocktail Week wristbands.
Deadline for entries is Friday September 15 2017, Finalists will be notified by Friday September 22 2017. Enter your recipe via norwichcocktailweek.com/cocktail-competition/
Gin will be supplied for the final, all other ingredients supplied by the finalists.
Norwich Cocktail Week has been running since 2014. Last year 35 bars and 350 revellers took part in offers, masterclasses and tastings across the seven days.
Norwich Cocktail Week runs from Saturday October 7 to Saturday October 14 2017. Wristbands cost £7 and are available from the website, entitling you to discounts and special offers.
