East Anglian residents were excited to learn that Game of Thrones actor Kit Harington and his co-star, Rose Leslie, had bought their first home together in Suffolk.

However it seems that the couple had started their search further north (old habits die hard) than Suffolk, as Mr Harington viewed Hautbois Hall in Coltishall.

Current owners Lord and Lady Bayfield were delighted when the Emmy nominated actor viewed their home, and said that the 30-year-old was “absolutely lovely.”

Lord Bayfield said: “He came and viewed the hall and had a walk around, he said he really liked it.”

But sadly Mr Harington proved that he did indeed know nothing, after he broke Norfolk’s heart by choosing a home in Suffolk.

Lord Bayfield said: “I have read since he’s settled on somewhere else.”

Hautbois Hall, the popular wedding venue, will soon go on sale with Savills in Norwich.

Lord Bayfield assured those who had a wedding booked at the Hall that the sale of the property will not affect weddings.

Suffolk, Mr Harington?

The North will remember.
