Plans lodged for 20 affordable homes as part of £3.5m investment in Southrepps, near Cromer
Archant Norfolk 2014
Twenty much-needed affordable homes could be built as part of a £3.5m investment in Southrepps, near Cromer.
Social housing landlord Victory Housing Trust has applied to North Norfolk District Council to build the development on land off Long Lane.
The plans include associated access, on-site parking provision, gardens and open space.
In a design and access statement submitted with the application, it states that the site is located on arable land, measures about 2.3 acres, and is next to the Southrepps development boundary. Southrepps is a designated ‘Service Village’ within the North Norfolk Core Strategy.
The development would include 14 homes for rent and six for shared ownership.
It comes just weeks after work started on a £700,000 project to build six more affordable homes by converting a derelict garage site into family homes in Stalham.
Last month the trust announced it had built 200 new homes in a year for the first time.
