These include heating for the ground floor, which is provided by an air source heat pump and controlled by programmable wireless thermostats, as well as independent electric heaters, with built-in thermostats, on the first floor.

It is one of a number of eco homes which were built on the development in 2008 and make something of a statement architecturally, as well as ecologically.

Beyond the willow fence of the private garden is the grassy communal space.

The property owners do not currently pay a service charge for maintenance of the shared areas as these costs are being covered by the developer until all the properties have been completed.

At that point, it is intended the management company will be taken over by the property owners with an approximate service charge of £600 a year.

The development is entered from the Norwich Road and then Ottaway Close, which in turn leads to the off-road parking space to the front of the property.

Norwich city centre is just under four miles away, the A47 junction at Longwater is three miles from the house and the train station is almost six miles away.

Old and New Costessey have a good selection of amenities, including a Post Office, primary schools, high school, pub, golf club, convenience store, doctors and dentist practices.

But this is also a home that could well appeal to a countryside lover too and, as such, it also offers access to many scenic spots. There are public footpaths in the area, places to see wildlife and it is easy to reach the coast and the Broads National Park.
