A Norfolk pedal boat maker is preparing to exhibit at the London Boat Show next month, in the 50th anniversary year of the first sea voyage by one of its craft.
Dad's Boats, based in Ludham, will be displaying a modern-day version of the two-seater boat which its founder sailed around the Isle of Wight in the summer of 1968.
'Dad' David Williams, who made a his first pedal boat in the 1950s, circumnavigated the island in the next-generation pedal boat with friend Peter Buckland.
Stephen Pitkethly, director of Dad's Boats said: 'We are delighted to be returning to the London Boat Show.
'We will have 'Cyclone' on the stand, which is David's original two-seater used in his circumnavigation of the Isle of Wight, as well as one of our production boats.'
Dad's Boats will be at Stand SB002 A/C at the London Boat Show, which runs from January 10-14 at London Excel.
