A pint of nostalgia beckons when you walk into the Robin Hood - where the bars are brimming with old arcade and vending machines.
They range from a 1901 “what the butler saw” box, which contains a lady shockingly taking off her stockings, to a one-armed bandit where a row of cherries will win you two old pence.
Owner Mike Higginson admits his collecting hobby has become a habit, and that he has enough stuff for two pubs. He used to run the Woodman at Norwich, but took over the Robin Hood four years ago.
Mr Higginson, who used to run the Cromer Road Post Office in the town, has created a friendly pub, which encourages families and the 25-plus age group. Those of a certain age will revel in roaming about looking at the machines, along with the old toys, typewriters and other artefacts.
Outside there is a playground for children, and a glass canopy down one side for smokers. There are quizzes on a Thursday and music, such as blues jazz and Irish every few weeks.
Meals are served from 11am to 10pm and are good pub fare from sandwiches costing a few pounds to a top-of-the-house £13 mixed grill. The bar has 16 different beers, ciders and lagers, including four real ales.
