Revitalised Norwich are ready for action

Norwich return to league action this week feeling refreshed and eager to go after a weekend's rest.
The lay-off has allowed various aches and pains to settle and this has enabled the selectors to choose from a strong squad. It has also given the coaches the opportunity to push things hard on the training pitch and to work on the areas of the game that needed looking at.
This week they travel to Romford and Gidea Park, who lie one place above Norwich in the league with one point more, so it promises to be a close and hard fought encounter.
When the two sides met last year, Romford came out narrowly victorious on both occasions but Norwich have strengthened the side in key areas, particularly at half back where Pete Donnell and Josh Ives are forming a useful partnership. The selectors have been trying new combinations in the pack to get the strongest eight and will be hoping to dominate in the tight phases.
The second team narrowly lost to Bury in a friendly fixture last week and will be hoping to turn this around with a league game against Holt at Beeston Herne.
The third team are away at Lowestoft and Yarmouth.
Norwich: Riches, Wright, Whiskins, Swanborough, Cook, Gardiner, Bugg, Atkinson, Turner, R Micklethwaite, Flack, Lenihan, Greenwood, Redpath, Campbell, Ives, Donell.
