Person killed in Fens road accident

A person has been killed in a road accident involving a car and a motorcycle in the Fens tonight.

Ambulances were called to the A1122 at Salters Lode, near Downham Market, at10.40pm. The dead person, whose gender has not been revealed, is thought to have been the motorcyclist.

Another person was taken to the Queen Elizabeth hospital following a one-vehicle accident at Walton Highway, near Wisbech, at about 10pm.

A car is thought to have gone into a drainage ditch. No further details were available.
