A Norfolk cartoonist has drawn up plans to give away half his earnings to fund research into Multiple Sclerosis.
Gareth Greenway, from North Lopham, is aiming to raise £10,000 by pledging 50pc of his income until the end of January.
He has made the unique promise because his sister, Lee Baker, is a long-term sufferer of the disease.
“I want results, I want cures and I want preventatives,” he said. “I want to make a big impact.”
He claims that if just one person's life can be made better by the donation then it will have been worth it.
The money will be split equally between three charities, the MS Trust, the MS Resource Centre and the MS Society.
Mr Greenway first realised he could draw when on an adventure holiday in Wales at the age of 12.
A school friend pushed him into a lake, breaking his ankle and forcing him to spend the rest of the trip sketching.
“If I hadn't broken my ankle maybe I wouldn't have discovered I could do this,” he said.
But it was only recently that he left behind an advertising and marketing career in London to turn his long-term hobby into a business.
He now makes a living by drawing caricatures to order over the internet, attending parties to sketch guests and even holding workshops at schools to teach children how to draw.
