Police investigating the deaths of two men in a Great Yarmouth garage workshop said tonight the pair are being linked to a missing father of three from the town.

Police found the two men in Halls Garage in Camden Place yesterday.

Today detectives and forensics were still at the scene near to Blackfriars Road as they examined the unexplained deaths of the men who are thought to have lived and worked together.

As officers carried out their investigations police said they believed the dead men knew Derek Tempest.

Mr Tempest, 30, was last seen in the Blackfriars Road area last Wednesday afternoon and was reported as missing on Sunday.

The two men were found in the garage workshop at about 1pm on Monday and paramedics struggled in vain to resuscitate them. They were both pronounced dead at the scene. It is not yet known how they died.

Police spokeswoman Laura Bagshaw said: “Officers continue to follow a number of lines of enquiry after the bodies of two males were found at a property in Yarmouth.

“One line of enquiry is an alleged association between the two males and Derek Tempest who police reported missing on Sunday.

“Mr Tempest is still missing at the present time. No further information will be released at this stage.”

t Mr Tempest was last seen at 4pm in the Blackfriars Road area last Wednesday. He is 5ft 10in, with short light brown hair. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a dark brown/khaki jacket, white trainers and a white baseball cap.
