Isaiah - 55, 10
As the rain and the snow come down from the heavens and do not return without watering the earth… so the word that goes from my mouth does not return to me empty, without carrying out my will and succeeding in what it was sent to do.

Sometimes God seems to be very slow to act on his promises!
When that's how I feel, I find these words immensely comforting. When my work is progressing all too slowly, then it is good to remember that a delay of a few months is nothing compared to eternity. I need to work to God's timescale, not my own.
