EDP Norfolk Food Awards 2009

Our annual awards celebrate the best of the county's food and drink scene - and who better to pass judgment than you, our discerning readers. Plus, you could win a stay at award-winning Strattons Hotel & Restaurant!

Welcome to the 2009 EDP Norfolk Food Awards, which are celebrating their eighth year with the introduction of an exciting new category and the launch of the EDP Bidwells Norfolk Food Festival.

It all starts with your nominations, so we would like to invite you to put forward the people and places you think deserve special recognition, from butchers and bakers to best farm shop and chef of the future.

This year, all entries will be automatically entered into a prize draw to win a couple of fantastic prizes at Strattons Hotel & Restaurant in Swaffham, the winner of 2008's Restaurant of the Year award.

There are 10 award categories this year, with the new addition of Best Norfolk Menu (replacing Restaurant of the Year and Best Food Pub Award). You can pick just one category or put forward suggestions for all 10 - it is up to you.

This year, for the first time, you can enter the awards online. Just click on the link, select the category you want to enter and fill in the simple form.

Every single nomination goes forward to the EDP Norfolk Food Awards judges whose job it is to decide who competes in the final. The winners will be announced at the EDP Norfolk Food Awards gala dinner on September 21 at the Holiday Inn Norwich North.

The deadline for entries is Friday, May 29. Good luck!
