Awards Host : Chris Bailey

Chris BaileyThis year we welcome Chris Bailey as the host for the awards.

Chris has presented major events and worked in the spotlight not only in the region but worldwide. His media career began after leaving school in the UK and travelling to Australia. After planning to travel for a year he ended up staying for fourteen! Working as an actor on TV, radio and in theatre in Melbourne and Sydney.

He has appeared in over 25 TV commercials, on stage at the Sydney Opera House, was a young doctor for three months in the TV soap The Young Doctors and even appeared with Nicole Kidman in the television series Vietnam.

In 1994 Chris returned full-time to the UK. After three years spent running the Mazda Cars National Pairs Golf Championships he went on to set up his company; Event Management Services. Much of his work now involves the organisation and administration of events such as outdoor picnic-style concerts in stately homes and castles, charity events, the annual free concert at the Royal Norfolk Show, anniversary celebrations and Christmas parties.

 He enjoys a wide variety of music, having organised concerts with artists such as Jools Holland, Girls Aloud, Katherine Jenkins, Bryan Ferry, Status Quo, Sugababes, John Barrowman, The Human League, ABC, Bananarama, Lesley Garrett and Will Young, but in his personal life he confesses that Frank Sinatra and 'rat pack' music are his favourites.
