Welcome
Welcome to the 2009 Eastern Daily Press Business Awards. We have been celebrating the achievements of East Anglian businesses for the last two decades. In our 20th year, we are looking to honour success stories, whether they come from start-up businesses or the region’s biggest players. There are nine award categories to choose from. To help you choose which one to enter, you can listen on this website to the judges explain what they are looking for and what marks out a winner. This year, for the first time, you can also enter the awards online. Just click on the link, select the category you want to enter and fill in the simple form. The winners will be announced at the showpiece event in the East Anglian business calendar, the EDP awards gala dinner in October. The deadline for entries is Friday May 29. Good luck.

Young Entrepreneur Award

Norfolk County Council This category is designed to help find the best young business man or woman who is just starting out in their business career. The judges look for a real star of the future. To enter the category you need to be aged between 16 and 25 and to have been trading for at least six months and under five years. Growth potential, innovation, initiative shown and clarity of vision will form part of the judges' selection criteria. They will also be looking at obstacles you have overcome, the strength of your business plan and in particular the attention paid to market research.
