Staff at Norfolk-based brewer Woodforde’s brewery are raising a glass after winning industry plaudits for its customer service.
The firm scooped a Best Regional Cask Ale Brand accolade for East Anglia and the East Midlands in the Publican’s Choice Awards 2013 based on a vote by readers of the Publican’s Morning Advertiser.
The award seeks to recognise suppliers who provide the greatest commitment to their pub customers and to the industry as a whole. Woodforde’s supplies more than 600 pubs in East Anglia with seven types, and it was its bestselling Wherry which helped the firm scoop the award.
Managing director Rupert Farquharson said: “We’re clearly delighted to be announced as the winner of this award, but what makes it even more special for us is that it’s voted for by our customers.
“We’re extremely proud of our Norfolk roots and it’s a privilege to be supplying the fantastic pubs that our region has to offer.”
