There’s just over 10 days to go until George Osborne delivers the budget – and the EDP wants to know what you would like to hear from the chancellor.

The chancellor has rowed back on mooted pension tax relief changes, after warnings from experts it would hit savers and could trigger a crisis with savers rushing to withdraw their retirement funds.

There have already been loud calls from some sectors - but which do you feel have so far been overlooked?

The oil and gas industry has been vocal about the need for tax breaks – with the chief executive of Oil and Gas UK, Deirdre Michie, this week telling the EDP that “government is listening”.

Elsewhere, the CBI has made submissions arguing that the looming National Living Wage, the apprenticeship levy and increasing red tape are all placing a significant burden on business.

Business minister Sajid Javid this week told the British Chamber of Commerce of a “one in, three out” policy on regulatory red tape, in a renewed bid to cut the constraints for companies of all sizes.

Do you run a small business? What do you feel is holding business back? What could be done to improve the conditions for your business?

With the EU referendum just over three months away, the chancellor has a chance to make a statement ... but what would you like it to be?
