A new consultancy is hoping to help individuals and organisations to deliver top class English language tuition.

TransformELT, based in Norwich, consults on English language teaching programmes for institutions and professionals in the field.

The company began trading in March, ahead of its first industry conference, and works with partners in the UK and overseas to provide face-to-face and online teacher training.

Its first overseas contract is taking place in Kuwait this month, with further contracts in the pipeline, and the firm has received funding to attend the 2017 Teaching and Learning Expo in Hong Kong.

Its three directors started the business after being made redundant from the same company.

Academic director Alan Mackenzie said: “As we were colleagues already, we knew each other and worked well together. We decided to do what we enjoyed doing and utilise our strengths equally.”
