An estimated 10,000 people lined the seafront in Cromer to celebrate the start of the new year with a spectacular fireworks display.
Organisers of the annual New Year’s Day event said it had been a huge success and made up for the disappointment after last year’s postponement.
The display, which lasted just short of 15 minutes, started at 5pm.
Although it is a free event, bucket collectors were out in force to fundraise for charity.
Last year’s event, which was postponed for a week due to the weather, raised a total of £9,000, half of which was given to charities with the rest going towards funding this year’s display.
Fireworks committee chairman, Jim Bond, said there had been no danger of a repeat of last year’s postponement.
He said: “It all went off very well and there were no incidents other than the usual traffic congestion.
“We Raised £9,700 which we are quite pleased with.”
