Customer feedback firm in international effort to give women job prospects
A customer feedback specialist in Norwich is using International Women’s Day to mark its efforts to help women thousands of miles away.
For the past six months ServiceTick, based on Queen Street, has been gathering feedback for an initiative designed to give employment and financial stability to women in India.
Secret Projects runs sewing workshops for women in areas of the country where employment opportunities are scarce. Experts teach the women to make ‘Secret Pillows’ and give them a fair price for their products.
ServiceTick’s feedback programme was designed to improve the product, sales process and pricing policy.
But Fritha Vincent, from Secret Projects, said it has also had “a powerful effect” on the women. “They are not used to being shown respect or praise so the comments have had a galvanising effect,” she said.
