R G Carter, based in Drayton, near Norwich, is recruiting 70 full-time trainees to join its East of England/East Midlands staff over the next two months.
The roles on offer at the EDP Top100 company are diverse and range from traditional skills to design and all levels of management.
The apprentice programme, managed by the Carter Academy, is seeking applications from people preferably in their late teens with a driving licence to embark on an accelerated training course in carpentry or brickwork. The programme, with experienced craft mentors in attendance, will allow trainees to progress to senior management positions.
The academy is also recruiting trainee managers in contract management, quantity surveying, estimating, design and planning throughout its 12 regional offices. Successful candidates will be enrolled on to part time honours degree courses with professional accreditation being the ultimate goal.
'The firm is looking for focused and committed young people who genuinely want a sustained career in construction to join our teams for the long term, 'said HR director Jeremy Moynihan.
'The construction industry has shown steady growth during the last 12 months. At R G Carter we have an excellent track record of training and investment in the future of our people.'
