What’s this, another talking shop or another quango? Both! At least the hot air will be about creating proper jobs. Such a novelty when govt’s main priority for massaging unemployment stats has been to force people to work as free labour for the likes of Poundland. An ingenious system where benefit claimants obtain “work experience” and the big companies achieve a welcome reduction in staff costs by getting the work done for free. Of course it’s you taxpayers who are subsidising the profits boost because you are footing the welfare bill. Ha ha. But sadly this little scheme has just been ruled illegal by the High Court. How tragic. The knee-jerk reaction of govt: we will push ahead anyway under emergency powers. LOL
