From one "Harbinger of doom", this is good news, the concern has always been use of public money in a transparent way, without deals behind 30 year cloaks of secrecy. Another attraction of wind farms is the reduced running and manning and operational costs, once they have been installed. I doubt the number of lighthouse keeper permanent jobs being touted.
