The boss of Norwich-based ESE Direct said the firm had enjoyed record sales figures last month.
The EDP Future 50 firm, which supplies more than 20,000 commercial and industrial products to businesses via a mail order catalogue and website, said sales were up 26pc year on year.
The firm, based in Wensum Works, said projected turnover for this year was set to be £1m higher than the £4.3m for 2012.
Biggest selling items for the start of 2013 have included emergency foil blankets, rock salt and temporary floor sign stands such as “caution trip hazard”.
And recent clients include Norwich City Football Club, Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital, Norse, and Palm Paper.
Set up in 1975 by Brian Francis, father of current managing director Simon, ESE Direct is a family-run business with two other trading divisions, ESE Projects that specialises in office and warehouse refurbishment, and ESE Cloakrooms that manufactures changing room benches and seating.
Heavy machinery is being transported along the River Yare for the first time in 25 years as British Sugar ships 270 tonnes of energy saving equipment to its Cantley processing factory.
