Not quite all the King's horses and all the King's Men, but there is one of the Queen's ex-racehorses competing at the Royal Norfolk Show this year.
He'll be rubbing shoulders with everyone from donkeys in the new in-hand classes to top of their game showjumpers and 12 pairs of heavy horses performing to music. The 11 year old gelding - Barbers Shop, joins The Tattersalls, Retraining of Racehorses Thoroughbred Show Series.
He was the last horse to be bred by the Queen Mother, was formerly trained by Nicky Henderson and won £143,000 during his racing career.
Barbers Shop raced for the final time at the Cheltenham Festival in 2012, and has since been very successful in the show ring. He was champion at last year's final of the Tattersalls and Retraining of Racehorses Thoroughbred Show Horse Championship at Hickstead.
At the Royal Norfolk Show, he'll be ridden by Katie Jerram, and can be seen in that on the Thursday in the Waveney Light Horse ring. The class starts at 10.45am.
First Katie will ride him side-saddle in the Ladies Hunter class in the Light Horse Ring.
Katie Jerram, based at Great Dunmow in Essex, has seven of the Queen's horses at her yard.
'I'm delighted to be attending this year's Royal Norfolk Show with some of the top show horses in the country including Barbers Shop,' says Katie.
'Since competing as a show horse Barbers Shop has won five out of five show classes so we're hoping our success continues at this year's Royal Norfolk Show,' she adds.
There's a record number of 'Horse of the Year Show' qualifiers this year with 27 expected, including three new ones for the Ridden Purebred Arabs.
Horse and showjumping fans will also enjoy an action-packed showjumping schedule, including the Speedi-beet 'Horse of the Year Show' Grade C qualifier, the Horse and Hound Foxhunter and the International Stairway Grand Prix.
There are new 'Donkey in Hand' classes and a new Retrained Racehorse 'Jump Challenge', plus the two wheeled heavy horse cart class.
Don't miss the 'Waldburgh Shires Heavy Horse Musical Drive', a chance to see a dozen pairs of heavy horses and drays perform to music in the Grand Ring.
The busy programme should be popular with showgoers, say the organisers.
'We're delighted to announce an action packed equine and livestock schedule for this year's show,' says Julian Taylor, show director.
'Entries for equine and livestock competitions have been coming in thick and fast over the past few weeks so it will be once again an even bigger and better schedule for the two days.
'With so many different competitions, classes, exhibitors, attractions, the Royal Norfolk Show continues to offer something for everyone.'
