The latest appointments in the region's business community feature Prior Diesel, Grant Thornton and Borne.

Great Yarmouth-based Prior Diesel has appointed a new operations manager.

James Rix has 16 years' experience in the oil and gas industry, working in equipment design and development and production and project management.

He will manage daily operations at the firm, which is owned by SureTank, and will be responsible for the technical assurance and compliance of Prior Diesel's manufacturing systems.

Mr Rix said: 'I'm looking forward to using my experience and knowledge to enhance the company's operations and help to build upon Prior Diesel's reputation, further strengthening their position in the market.'

A new director has joined the regional wealth advisory team at Grant Thornton.

Andrew Kilby joins the firm from a regional accountancy, business and financial advisory firm, where he headed up the wealth management and tax consultancy services team.

Mr Kilby, who has more than 20 years' experience in financial services, will lead the wealth advisory team across Grant Thornton's East Anglian offices.

He said: 'Joining Grant Thornton's wealth advisory team is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a larger advisory business.'

Communications agency Borne is targeting expansion after appointing Viv Griffiths as creative director.

He joined the agency earlier in the summer as it aims to double its headcount from 10 to 20 over the next three years. His previous experience includes Grey, R T Brand Communications and DDB Needhams, and he has worked in a senior capacity with the United Nations, Hummer and DFS.

Founder Carole Osborne added: 'Viv's experience is vast and varied and we are extremely excited to have him on-board at such a pivotal stage in our growth.'
