Garden centre Notcutts has kick-started its fundraising campaign for Age UK Norfolk by supplying the charity with equipment for a green-fingered event at a dementia cafe.

Visitors to the Pabulum Dementia Cafe at Costessey will be able to take part in planting seeds for sunflowers and tomatoes which they are able to take home afterwards to monitor as they grow.

Notcutts' Norwich site has chosen Age UK Norfolk as its charity of the year and will be holding events and collections for the organisation.

Richard Greenacre, centre manager of Notcutts Norwich, said: 'We're very excited to be supporting Age UK Norfolk this year and the fantastic work they do with older people in our communities.

'We're delighted to have started our year of fundraising by helping the group with their gardening activities and look forward to future events with the team at Age UK Norfolk.'
