Norwich’s technology sector has outperformed London, Leeds and Belfast when it came to responding to an influential national survey.

The city accounted for more than 10% of the 3,428 responses for the TechNation Report 2018.

Norwich’s 364 replies from tech industry leaders and influencers outstripped London’s 238 and easily beat Leeds and Belfast’s 138 in joint third place.

The report highlights the strength in different areas of tech across the UK.

Sean Clark, director of Clark St James and co-organiser of tech meet-up SyncNorwich, said: “These results not only highlight the strength of the tech and digital sector in Norwich and Norfolk, but also the strength of the community as a whole.

“As a community we are determined to shine a light on the benefits Norwich has to offer companies in the tech and digital sector, and to encourage more businesses to look to us when they setup their headquarters.”
