A desire to help people feel good about themselves was the main motivation for a Norfolk entrepreneur to start her own beauty and massage business, which she has now moved to Great Ellingham.

Nicola Osbon, 28, from Great Ellingham, has relocated Star Therap-ease to a purpose-built building in the grounds of her parents home in Attleborough Road because she always wanted to start a business of her own.

The former Great Ellingham Primary School and Wymondham College student trained in her field at the Jackie Hamilton School of Therapies in Norwich and initially focussed on the massage side before starting her own business three years ago.

Since then, she has gradually built up the business, moving from Great Ellingham to Norwich and back where she has now had a bespoke log cabin built near to her parents Julie, 54 and Dean, 51.

She said the building was designed to make customers feel relaxed as soon as they arrived in the rural setting, which was the main reason she wanted to be based in Great Ellingham.

She added: “I trained in the beauty business because I wanted to care for people. I wanted them to feel good about themselves.”

On Saturday, she celebrated the reopening with an open day giving customers the chance to view the premises, discuss her range of beauty treatments and buy some products.

She added: “I just loved the idea of it being in a rural setting so there is nothing around here to disturb you. The nearest neighbours are 200 yards away at the bottom of the road. It is a proper rural environment.”
