John Morgan of Learning for Everyone, which has set up the venture, said: “The best way to find another job is through friends, family or social networks - research proves this - which is why it is so vital to have a Work Club in this area.”

“During every session, we will help people to look for work by swapping ideas and taking part in friendly workshops on aspects of job hunting such as interview skills, building a CV, using the internet to hunt down jobs and so on. We also plan to invite guest speakers including people from local businesses, to talk about specific opportunities in the area.”

The Work Club sessions and workshops would be held at different venues and times from and were free, friendly and informal.
