Sync the City

Being thrown together in the heat of a hackathon helped launch a tech start-up which aims to help businesses make difficult decisions.

SenLab is the creation of George Davis and Billy Kabubi and came about due to Norwich-based technology event Sync the City in November 2016, at which the pair formed a team.

Now the firm, with bases in London and Norwich, has six employees and a non-executive board of four and is ready to beta test its Prosper BI software. The program uses data analytics from a business and the wider economy to advise small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) how to make commercial decisions.

Managing director Mr Davis, 19, said: “While big companies can afford this kind of analysis it is even more crucial for SMEs as their decisions can be make-or-break.”

Shortly after he returns to study at the University of East Anglia, SenLab will open a £500,000 investment round.
