Law firm Mills & Reeve outperformed its peers in the last financial year with revenue rising at almost double the average rate.

The company, which has offices in Norwich and Cambridge, saw another record year with turnover increasing by 7.2% to £93.2m in the year to May 31, 2017 – comfortably outstripping the average 4.6% growth of the other top 100 UK law firms.

Justin Ripman, Mills & Reeve senior partner, believed it was the only firm in the top 100 to have consistently grown profit and turnover each year since 2002.

“We set ourselves some ambitious targets and are delighted to have achieved such significant growth,” he said. “Our commitment to creating a collaborative culture that focuses on core markets and sectors means we can deepen our client relationships and deliver commercial, focused, sensible advice.”

Mills & Reeve announced a merger with London law firm Maxwell Winward in March.
