Household cleaning products company Jeyes has moved into its new head office at the Cambridge Business Park.
The 80-strong Cambridge team will support and work closely with the company’s research and development (R&D) and manufacturing facilities, which remain in Thetford, Norfolk.
Chief executive Bernard Daymon said the move would help boost plans for future global growth.
“We have a great reputation around the world for producing innovative and market-leading household cleaning products,” he said.
“We’re delighted that Cambridge is our new home from where our team will pursue our ambitious growth plans, strengthening our position as a world leader in the household cleaning market.
“With fantastic transport links to London and the world, as well as remaining close to our Thetford R&D base, we’re confident Cambridge is the best place for Jeyes to build a successful future. This is a very exciting move for the company and our team.”
Jeyes has also announced a €5 million (£4.3m) injection of funding from the Royal Bank of Scotland’s offices in the Czech Republic to support development of its operations in central Europe.
As a teenager Matthew Newbury had high hopes of working behind the scenes in the theatre.
