A discount clothing business which started from an entrepreneur's bedroom in his mother's house is about to launch its first store.
When James Robinson, from Thetford, first bought surplus clothes from a wholesalers in 2009, his plan was to make some extra money by selling them on internet auction site, eBay.
But the 29-year-old soon found his bedroom filled with stock, before packing out the loft and garage too.
That meant a move to a warehouse two years ago, and now the former personal trainer and Taverham High School student has taken the next step and will open his own store, The Discounter, in Well Street, Thetford, on Saturday.
He said opening the store would be a great moment.
'When I saw this place had come up, and I got a good deal, I knew it was the right thing to do.
'I'm hoping that we can make enough to cover the rent in the first year and then who knows. The aim is to open more stores if it goes well and take on some staff,' he said.
His business plan has seen him buy new, surplus stock in bulk from high street retailers such as Topshop and Next, and sell it at knock-down prices.
