With Norwich City being promoted, players will have more money than ever to spend on a new home. This newspaper picked out five 'Premier League' properties for sale in and around the city.

Seeing as the average weekly wage can be more than £50,000, footballers can afford a luxury millionaire's mansion in Norwich and still have plenty of change.

Estate agent Steve Pymm said: "There's no doubt Norwich being promoted to the Premier League is good news for our local economy and could be great news for the housing market if any of the footballers decide to buy in the locality.

"Norfolk offers a fabulous pace of life, even for a Premier footballer, whether they are single or looking for a house in which to raise a family. There are period houses which have been converted offering character or large new builds which are situated in private locations so we could definitely find something to fit the bill."
