A travel agent at Cromer is offering a wider choice of holidays after a change of ownership.
The Co-operative Travel branch in High Street is now part of the same Anglia Co-operative group which runs the town’s foodstore on the Holt Road.
It remains part of the wider co-operative family but has switched from the previous TCCT group to the Anglia stable.
The move, done with another branch at Thetford, brings its total of travel agent outlets run by the Peterborough-based group to 15.
Group specialist retail manager Paul Dale said: “We’re really pleased that Cromer is now part of our portfolio.
“The acquisition of the two new branches means we are now potentially East Anglia’s largest independent travel group and they enhance our operations in small to medium-sized towns.
“Having recently signed an agency agreement with Freedom Travel Group we are now able to offer even greater choice to holidaymakers in the Cromer area, working with even more travel operators.”
The branch retains the same livery and staff - manager Sam Antoniades-Cork, assistant Sarah Broadbelt, and advisor Kelly Dagless.
Mrs Antoniades-Cork said the change gave the branch more freedom to tailor holidays to the needs of its local clients, and would see link ups with the town’s foodstore,
Anglian Co-operative runs 26 foodstores and 25 funeral homes across eastern England.
The Cromer branch office has just reopened after a short shutdown during the changeover. The phone number remains 01263 514554. The website is www.arcs.co.uk.
