The cookery theatre, hosted by Mary Kemp, will include demonstrations by esteemed Norfolk chefs including Masterchef’s Tim Kinnaird, Galton Blackiston and Richard Bainbridge of Morston Hall, Vanessa Scott of Strattons in Swaffham, Richard Hughes of The Lavender House in Brundall and Saurav Kumar from The Victoria at Holkham.
Besides the live demonstrations, the dedicated Food Hall will feature the very best of local food and drink.
Local producers exhibiting at this year’s show include Woodfordes brewery, Munchy Seeds, Breckland Orchard and Macarons and More, run in Watton by former Masterchef contestant Tim Kinnaird.
The Food Hall just gets better and better, says Tim, who is demonstrating for the third year running at the show.
“I think increasingly it is a privilege to be part of an ever improving and growing food scene in Norfolk. I see the Food Hall as one of the pinnacles of that.
“And it’s nice to be on stage and cook and hang out with the cool food kids!” he said, appreciating the opportunity to meet and catch up with friends and personalities in the Norfolk food industry at the show.
Tim will be demonstrating a rhubarb recipe on stage at the show.
Do expect a variety of other interesting recipes using locally available seasonal ingredients from the various demonstrating chefs at the Cookery Theatre.
Mary Kemp, co-ordinator, says the Food Hall and demonstrations are a fabulous part of the Royal Norfolk Show.
“We’ve got some of the best chefs from Norfolk on stage, using some of the very best Norfolk produce and cooking some fantastic recipes.
“Come and join us for new recipes, great ideas and information a lot of extremely good food,” she adds.
Norwich-based Naked Wines has rescued an award-winning winemaker who was left reeling when vandals poured £50,000 of her white vintage down the drain.
