An intrepid team of staff from two Norfolk companies battled an inflatable obstacle course to raise £9,000 for the East Anglia Children’s Hospices (EACH) Nook Appeal.

The seven-strong crew from housebuilder Abel Homes, along with sister firm Abel Energy, took part in the Gung Ho! event at Earlham Park in Norwich in aid of the appeal, which it pledged to raise £25,000 for by 2018.

The team’s £4,500 of sponsorship and match-funded donation from The Abel Group bring the total the family-owned firm has raised for the Nook Appeal to £28,000.

Abel Group chairman Tony Abel, who made the fundraising pledge when the appeal was launched, said: “I am so proud of our team who have worked hard to raise this amazing amount of money for such a worthy cause.

“I would also like to thank all our clients, suppliers, partners and supporters who have helped us reach this milestone.”
