A small-business expert from Facebook is the latest speaker to be added to the line-up for Norfolk Chamber's annual Talking Technology event.

John Carr, the team lead of the social network's small and medium business division for the UK and Ireland, will give a talk entitled 'Mobile, Visual, Personal – Future-proofing your business with Facebook'.

Mr Carr and his team concentrate on helping clients get the best results from marketing campaigns on the platform, and his speech will address the importance of having a mobile strategy for your business in today's borderless business world.

Talking Technology will take place on Wednesday, September 20 at The Space in Norwich, with industry experts giving presentations and workshops for guests to find out how technology can help them unlock growth in their business.

Industry giants Microsoft and Aviva will be represented, while local tech pioneers including Ubisend and Prison Voicemail will be among the speakers.

Local names including Tech East, Blue Sky Drones, Step into Tech and Foolproof will also share their expertise and developments in a series of Lightning Talks - an innovation designed to recognise the success of Norfolk firms.

Subjects such as how to create digital content will also be explored in half-hour workshops led by experts in their field, with Immersive VR, The User Story, Innershed and Integro presiding over sessions.

Chris Sargisson, chief executive of Norfolk Chamber, said urged businesses to attend to find out more.

He said: 'Without the knowledge to embrace technology, many businesses are at risk of being left behind. Talking Technology aims to equip all businesses with the knowledge and digital skills that can be implemented in their growth and development.'
