A phone retailer has raised more than £5,000 for its charity of the year which provides sporting opportunities for people with learning disabilities.
After a successful year of fundraising Digital Phone Company (DPC) has decided it will continue to support Special Olympics Norfolk as its chosen charity for a further 12 months.
The company raised £5,308.54 through collection pots in its ten stores across the region, in Beccles, Cromer, Fakenham, Holt, Lakenheath, Mildenhall, North Walsham, Thetford and Watton, and fundraising events, including a sponsored 5km run by staff and a quiz.
DPC managing director, Chris Share said: 'We are delighted to continue to support Special Olympics Norfolk which is such a worthwhile charity. Having attended their events, we know how much the work they do means to all those involved – from the organisers, the coaches and the volunteers, to the athletes themselves.'
