Two credit unions operating across East Anglia have teamed up with a digital bank to offer customers more ways to manage their money.

Eastern Savings & Loans and Rainbow Saver, which work in Norfolk, Suffolk and Cambridgeshire, are now working with Change Account.

The account offers users the chance to set aside and reserve funds for specific spending categories such as bill payments, rent or eating out, as well as benefit from cashback incentives, and does not carry penalty changes for missed payments. The account does not require credit checks and customers can apply without needing a permanent address.

Chris Mole, chief executive of Eastern Savings & Loans, said: 'Change Account has already proven to be user-friendly and affordable, and we look forward to offering the account to our new and existing members throughout 2018.'

Currently, 20,000 people are using Change Account and in the last six months it has formed partnerships with more than 40 credit unions. It won the Best Use of Technology in Online Banking award at the UK Financial Services Experiences Awards in July 2017.
