A team behind bringing flooring to hundreds of homes across north Norfolk is celebrating after opening its third shop in the area.

Holt Carpets began with the opening of Cromer Carpets almost 20 years ago and then grew with the purchase of a second site at Holt seven years ago.

And now the team has opened a second site at Holt, based at Fish Hill, to further expand the business.

Garry Wood, shop manager, said the two stores in the Georgian town would work together and both would remain open to help increase the range they currently offered.

The team, made up of two full-time members of staff and one part-time member of staff, currently covers the whole of the north Norfolk area.

Mr Wood said: “We’ve only just opened up and we’ve been very busy in the last five weeks. Now we’ve been able to increase our range of carpets and rugs.”

Mr Wood has worked for the company for 15 years and helped to start-up both shops in Holt.

He added that he was “excited” about the new store, especially the launch of the new natural fibres range which included seagrass, sisal, coir and jute.
