An interior designer on the Norfolk-Suffolk border has ventured into television presenting after launching her own online channel.

Swank Interiors, which is based in Bressingham, near Diss, was started up almost three years ago and has commercial and residential clients across East Anglia.

Director Lanassir Lawes, who founded the business, has launched a new way of demonstrating her creative design ideas with the formation of Swank TV.

The new marketing tool offers viewers the opportunity to go behind the scenes, bringing to life Swank’s renovation and refurbishment projects. It is not only aimed at prospective clients but also for those with an interest in interior design, said Miss Lawes.

So far, there are three videos of different projects, a video of the company’s 3,000sqft showroom in Bressingam and a client testimonial, but more will be uploaded in the coming months with plans to add further content offering free tips on how to maximise colour and space in the home.

Miss Lawes added that Swank TV was already attracting a lot of interest from potential new clients. She added that it was also acting as a good ice breaker before she had even met new customers and was helping to make interior design accessible for all.

“When people see pictures of an interior design, you only see one dimension and to see the flow of the property makes a massive difference and I get a chance on video to explain how I did it.”

“We hope the creation of our own video channel will prove that very often stunning designs do not have to cost a small fortune. A few unique and well sourced accessories can soon give a room the wow factor,” she said.

Swank TV is among the first interior design specialists to provide an online video channel, said Miss Lawes, who has a background in soft furnishings and retail management.

Swank TV is available to view online at and the videos are also available to watch on smart phones.

The videos have been filmed and produced by Diss-based company Virtual View, who also developed the video player design on the site.
