Bateman Groundworks to invest £1.6m in new plant and vehicles

Construction firm Bateman Groundworks has invested more than £1.6m in new plant and vehicles from a trio of Norwich-based suppliers.
The Great Yarmouth company has added five excavators and eight dumpers its fleet already with 45 new vans arriving later this year.
It has ordered the dumpers, worth, £235,000 from Contractors Equipment Sales, following a £275,000 investment in Volvo track machines in May.
Seven excavators, together worth £642,000, are also on order for this year from Ben Burgess, Norwich, along with a £475,000 order for 45 commercial vehicles from Holden Renault in the city.
Managing director Richard Bateman said: “We like to buy from local suppliers to support the Norfolk economy and always receive great service from our chosen suppliers.”
CES director Andy Smith said Bateman Groundworks had been a “significant customer” of the Harrier Way company for 20 years.
