A newly formed facilities management group has flexed its muscles with its first acquisitions it was formed in a merger.

Atalian Servest has strengthened its contract catering offering by buying Warwick-based Unique Catering and Management Services as well as acquiring fire protection systems firm Thermotech Solutions.

The enlarged group, which has a global turnover of 3bn euro, was formed earlier this month when Bury St Edmunds-based Servest joined forces with French company Atalian.

Rob Legge, chairman UK and USA at Atalian Servest, said: 'Atalian Servest's recent acquisitions are a case in point that there is a real commitment to enhance our presence across the sector spectrum, and to grow globally as we continue to better serve our customers.

'We're thrilled to be able to expand again with these new acquisitions and look forward to continually revolutionise our multifaceted offering.'
