The Norwich-based Alan Boswell Group is set to expand into the west of East Anglia following two new acquisitions.

The group, which is celebrating 30 years in business this year, has bought two insurance broking businesses in the Peterborough area – the city office of Sutcliffe Insurance Brokers and Bentley Charles Insurance Services.

Sutcliffe Insurance Brokers, which was previously known as Weller Russell & Laws, has been re-branded as Alan Boswell Group while Bentley Charles Insurance Services in Market Deeping will continue to trade under its current name and branding.

The move means that the 13 employees across the two brokers will join the company’s existing 200 staff across East Anglia.

Alan Boswell, managing director of Alan Boswell Group, said: “These are two businesses which are performing well and are a good fit for our expansion across the region.

“We will be taking on all the staff from both offices and welcome them to what continues to be an exciting time for the group.”
