Physical and financial growth are firmly in the sight line of an air rifle shooting range near Dereham.

Rob and Paula Bennett opened On Target Norfolk at Corners Nursery in Hoe in April 2016 and have seen an explosion in membership numbers, with around 80 people now signed up.

Such is its popularity that the entrepreneurial couple are planning to expand the range, to add more bays to its shooting deck.

To support her husband, Mrs Bennett took early retirement from her job with the NHS to open a tearoom on the site, serving snacks, drinks and light meals, which she runs with three other staff.

Mrs Bennett said: “The range goes from strength to strength and we now have some 80 members on the books, with more people becoming interested on a daily basis.”

The range, which features a members’ clubroom, is also open to non-members for half-day sessions.
