An Australian adventurer and environmentalist is coming to Norwich to give a speech on his work.

Huw Kingston will be coming to the Assembly House on Friday, April 28 to give a talk about a recent trip that saw him take on a circumnavigation of the Mediterranean.

Mr Kingston completed his adventure, called the Mediterr Annee, in 2015. A year-long trip around the Mediterranean Sea that saw him walk, cycle, kayak and row his way across 13,000km, through 17 different countries. He had to battle all weather conditions, from the heat of north Africa to the tips of the Alps.

The adventurer raised over £55,000 for the charity Save the Children Australia, of which he is the biggest individual fund-raiser.

In the talk, organised by the Royal Geographical Society, the Australian will be promoting the journey that's recounted in his new book.
