Welcome Exhibitor
Our 2006 event was our fifth year at organising the Norfolk Careers Fair. It was held at The Forum in Norwich on June 15 and 16 and once again it was a successful event.
The fair was aimed at a variety of people from school leavers through to those seeking a career change or a return to work later in life.
Why Attend the Norfolk Careers Fair?
Nearly 30 companies and training organisations throughout the region came together to provide a simple and welcoming opportunity to help people make one of the most important decisions of their lives. Each year thousands of people are attracted to the exhibition.

How to Make an Exhibition of Yourself
Caroline
Rust founder of The Coaching Works! in Norwich addressed exhibitors
of the Norfolk Careers Fair 2006 over breakfast on Friday June
16. She chose to talk about what she
believes to be the 4 key principles of effective exhibition marketing.
Bringing topics such as exhibition etiquette, communication
and objective setting to the table she will share her
insights entitled ‘How to Make an Exhibition of Yourself’, helping exhibitors
to get the most from the event.
Locally, Caroline is well known as a motivational and energetic public speaker. As a
qualified Coach her natural style and empathy is certain to bring fresh thinking and new ideas to
those taking part. ‘Businesses invest a lot of time, money and energy into preparing and
planning for an event, but many forget to plan what to do once they get there,’ says Caroline.
‘The most important part of any exhibition is the point at which exhibiting staff actually engage
with visitors. I believe that people staffing exhibition stands are really a form of Human
Branding, a living extension of the corporate brand. In the context of recruitment that means
they become a tangible and very powerful communication tool. Helping businesses and
organisations to communicate what their employer brand values are and creating a
positive impression. So employers would do well to consider who they use to staff their exhibition
stands and think about what their purpose and objectives for the event are. We all know that
motivated and enthusiastic staff are by far the best recruitment advertisements that any
business can have, so it’s imperative to have the right people doing and saying the right things.’
The Coaching Works! offers a wide range of business skills workshops and associated services aimed at helping Norfolk enterprises to develop people and grow their business. In addition to this Caroline Rust works with a number of local employers, helping them to retain and develop staff. To find out more contact 01603 865227 or email caroline@workshopswork.co.uk
