Tony Blair. 'We have not yet been nearly bold enough. To stop further damage to the climate we need a worldwide 60 per cent reduction in emissions by 2050. I am committed to putting us on a path towards that target.'
Prime Minister Tony Blair, February 2003.

Climate change is the greatest issue of the 21st Century, and carbon reduction will be our great challenge. It is a serious issue. The impacts of climate change will be felt across the world, as sea level rises threaten the existence of some small island states, put millions of people at risk, and causes the irreversible loss of many species of plants and animals.

Solid state structure of carbon. The consequences will not be limited to developing countries - temperature increase, drought and flooding will affect people's health and way of life in every corner of the world including Norfolk. But we, in Norfolk, can do our bit to help.

This website outlines why we have to work together to reduce carbon emissions, what we all have to do to reduce carbon in the future, and how we have begun to tackle the problem.

There is still much uncertainty surrounding climate change and carbon emissions. There are no tried and tested blueprints for us to follow, and there is no global political consensus. About the only thing we CAN be sure of is the need for everyone to get involved in some way and have their say.

You can make your contribution to carbon reduction by committing to undertake a few simple carbon reduction measures by signing a CRed pledge. Where do I sign?
